[dropcap]Moonluza[/dropcap], a company that specializes in organizing multicultural projects, has designed a new program. It's called the 'Hans Christian Andersen Tour' and focuses on the world-famous Danish author and his journeying through Portugal in 1866. It's an initiative that helps participants to experience Portugal through the eyes of Hans Christian Andersen. Following in the footsteps of the ‘Father of fairy-tales’ the tour is based on the diary he wrote during his visit here in Southern Europe.Hans Christian Andersen was already famous when he came to Portugal at the invitation of his friends José and Jorge O’Neill, whose father was Portuguese Consul in Denmark. Travelling across the Iberian Peninsula, Andersen was completely enchanted with the beauty of Portugal. His trip took him to Lisbon, Palmela, Setúbal, Aveiro, Coimbra and to Sintra, with which he fell in love. The tour offers a visit to a number of these cities; an insight into Portugal and its gastronomy; and a rich artistic programme, including a personal mini-guide containing Andersen’s observations and quotations. For details on the tour, including fees, click here.
